About

Joshua Christian Academy

Joshua Christian Academy is a ministry of Joshua Baptist Church and is under the leadership of Dr. Gene Wolfenbarger.  Dr. Wolfenbarger’s heart is to provide Johnson County a school where parents can send their children and know they are safe – physically, spiritually, and emotionally.  Joshua Christian Academy is a sound Christian environment where students are taught Biblically-based academics, character, and life skills. Our philosophy is that education is not only reading, writing, and arithmetic but also involves the whole child: spiritual, physical, social, and emotional. We strive to teach each student Biblical values and principles which we believe are the basis for a Christ-honoring, successful life.

Purpose:

The purpose of JCA is to enhance the life of a child: mind, heart, and spirit.

Teachers:

JCA is set apart by its teaching staff. First and foremost, each teacher considers his/her role at JCA as a ministry, not just a job. This means that they are dedicated followers of Christ and are committed to the success and well-being of each student. Not only are our teachers academically qualified for their position, but they also bring an added dimension to their classroom by their previous career experiences.

Classes:

Classes at Joshua Christian Academy are Bible centered and student oriented. Our student/teacher ratio allows us to focus on individual students and his/her specific educational needs. Our teachers strive to incorporate uniquely designed lesson plans and classroom instruction to enhance your child’s learning experience.  We understand students learn differently, and our faculty is committed to the overall success of each and every student.

Chapel:

Chapel services are held once a week. Our chapel services are developed to enrich each student’s personal walk with Christ. Chapel services start off with a few fun games followed by a time of worship and preaching of the Word.

Accreditation:

Joshua Christian Academy is accredited through Cognia.  Cognia is the largest community of education professionals in the world.  They are a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of Pre-K-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential.
