Admissions FAQs


Joshua Christian Academy is a Christ-centered, college preparatory school looking to provide the best education, in the best atmosphere, for the best price.

What is the maximum class size?

To promote the best learning environment we strive to maintain the following class sizes: PreK-4 through grade 6 (15 Students), and in grades 7 through 12 no more than 18 per classroom.

Is JCA Accredited?

Joshua Christian Academy is accredited through Cognia formerly known as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  Learn more by clicking here.

At what age is my child eligible for the K4 program?

Students should be four years old by September 1 to be eligible for our K4 program.

What are school hours?

  • K4 and K5 students may be dropped off as early as 7:45am.
  • Grades 1 through 12 may be dropped off as early as 7:30a.m.

For an additional fee:

  • The Before Care School Program provides supervised student care from 7:00 a.m. till the start of school.
  • The After Care School Programs provides supervised student care from after school till 6:00 p.m.

Are there fine arts programs at the Joshua Christian Academy?

Our fine arts department provides an great education in the visual and performing arts with an emphasis on Christian Worldview of the Arts. The faculty and staff have created a supportive environment in which students can grow in the fields of visual arts, theatre, and music.

Does JCA offer before or after-school care?

Yes, there is both before-school care and after school care.

Before-school care begins each morning at 7:00 a.m. One of our faculty will walk them to their class room when it is time for school to start.

After-school care is from right after school till 6:00 p.m. each day.  One of our faculty will pick them up from their class and walk them over to after-school care.

Both of these services are for an additional charge.  Students may stay every day or drop-in as needed.

Can my child visit Joshua Christian Academy before deciding?

Yes, for students in grades 2-12 we offer a prospective student-shadowing program.  Just call the Admissions Office to set up a time.
